Event Description

Professors Margo Okazawa-Rey, Heather Sullivan and Joel Winkelman will meet with students who are interested in applying to the Levitt Leadership Institute.

The Levitt Leadership Institute (LLI) is an intensive leadership education and training program promoting transformative leadership practices and social action. Specifically, the program aims to develop students' understanding of themselves and the relationship between mobilizing people and the development of social policy. Its mission is to help students recognize, develop, and practice the leadership skills essential for creating personal and societal change in the current historical moment, including compassion, empathy, and resilience. We will be guided by the foundational question: What kinds of leaders and ways of leading could and will contribute to addressing and transforming the extreme violence and deep social divisions locally, nationally, and globally to ensure the well-being of all people and our planet? This question, along with others brought by the participants, will shape our learning and teaching during LLI ‘27. Applications are open to all Hamilton students regardless of concentration, career interest, or class year. *Students must be living on campus during the spring semester to participate*.
