Speaking on Friday, Oct. 26, to a standing-room-only crowd of parents, students, and faculty on careers in defense intelligence, Greenan chronicled her career path from that internship and another with U.S. Senator Richard Lugar (R-Indiana), to working for alumnus and former U.S. Congressman Michael Castle ’61 to the Pentagon to defense contractors.

Pointed toward law school, Grecia Santos ’20 secured a summer internship at a small immigration law firm in her hometown of Miami. She finds herself immersed in a learning experience far more intense than she’d expected. “Because I thought it would just be looking at laws and reading very dry language, but what we’re dealing with is people talking about the experiences that they had in their home countries, why they left, the fear that they have, hope that they can stay here and rebuild their lives. It’s just very emotional at times,” Santos explains

Joe Livingston '02 and has a master’s degree from the University of Texas in Austin in Middle East Studies. He served as State Department Foreign Service Officer (diplomat) from 2007-16, has worked for several NGOs conducting programs internally, and is currently the assistant director for Careers and Professional Development at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies in Denver.

After graduating from Hamilton, Sonya (Brouner) Fox '84 worked as a paralegal at Davis, Polk and Wardwell in New York City. She then attended Boston University Law School to pursue a Juris Doctorate degree. Sonya spent many years as a lawyer and has now transitioned her career into a financial direction. She is now completing a Masters of Law degree in Corporate Compliance.
