The Hamilton College Arboretum Association will host a presentation titled “Stalking Hamilton’s Trees for a Half Century,” with artist John Suplee ’69, on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m., in the Kennedy Auditorium, Taylor Science Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The Hamilton College Arboretum Association will present a series of free workshops in January through May on the Hamilton campus. These events are open to the public and sponsored by the College and its Arboretum Association. All will take place from 10 a.m.  to noon in the Kennedy Auditorium, Taylor Science Center (GO27), unless otherwise noted.  Pre-registration is requested by calling (315) 859-4657.

Alumni began arriving from near and far on Thursday, May 31, to begin the Bicentennial Reunion weekend festivities. Thursday’s highlights included a tour, “The Legacy of Trees on the Hamilton Campus,” guided by Arboretum Director Terry Hawkridge  P’01, and “Giants in the Earth,” a talk and tour of Hamilton’s Cemetery, led by Hamilton Alumni Review Editor Emeritus Frank Lorenz.

In observance of the 200th anniversary of Hamilton’s founding, the Hamilton College Arboretum Association hosted the A.P. Saunders Tree Peony Fest on Saturday, May 26. A birthday cake to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the college’s charter was served.

In observance of the 200th anniversary of Hamilton College’s founding, the Hamilton College Arboretum Association will host the A.P. Saunders Tree Peony Fest on Saturday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to noon, in Grant Garden of the Root Glen.  The community is invited to see the Saunders peonies at their peak and stroll the shaded paths of Root Glen.

The College’s Arboretum Association has announced its seven spring workshops ranging from Bonsai artistry to sustainable gardening. The programs are free and open to the public, and International Society of Arborist recertification credits are available for most.
