Abhishek Amar was invited to speak at the conference, "Buddhist Art History in Medieval South and Southeast Asia: Innovations and Interactions." Amar's talk examined interreligious interactions between the Buddhist and Hindu traditions in the Medieval Eastern India.
The October conference was organized by the Numata Center for Buddhist Studies at UC Berkeley and co-sponsored by the Townsend Center for the Humanities, Institute for South Asia Studies, the South Asia Art Initiative, and the Tang Center for Silk Road Studies.
