Doran Larson

Doran Larson, the Walcott-Bartlett Chair of Ethics and Christian Evidences and Professor of Literature and Creative Writing, recently presented a paper at the National Conference on Higher Education in Prison.

The theme of the virtual conference hosted by the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison was Amplifying Access. Larson’s paper was titled “Covid19 and the Political Landscape? Witnessing the Costs of the Current Legal Order.”

Larson is the founder of the American Prison Writing Archive (APWA). A project of the Digital Humanities Initiative, the APWA is a fully searchable collection of essays, written by incarcerated people and prison workers, about the prison experience.
