Director of Metadata and Digital Strategies Shay Foley recently participated in the 2022 Leading Change Institute in Washington, D.C. As described on its website, the six-day event is for leaders in higher education who are “who are interested in working collaboratively to promote and initiate change on critical issues affecting the academy.”
Daily activities included group discussions and visits by leaders in academia, grant-making agencies, industry, and government.
“It was both inspiring and humbling to learn from and with these thought leaders,” Foley said, adding that he “left reinvigorated to continue and amplify the work we are doing in LITS to partner with faculty as Hamilton continues to be a leading institution in higher education.”
The event was sponsored by the Council on Library and Information Resources and EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing higher education through the use of information technology.
