Elaine Weiss K’73 launches her book, The Woman’s Hour on March 6. Weiss’ comprehensive new book follows the journey of famous suffragists engaged in debate over the 19th amendment and state rights.
The Woman’s Hour shows the passionate fight for the ratification of the constitutional amendment that granted women the right to vote. Goodreads has chosen Weiss’ book for its top new March release picks.
The Woman's Hour has been chosen as a “Top Ten History Book” for Spring ’18 by Publisher's Weekly, and as the March “Indie Next” pick by the American Booksellers Association’s IndieBound.

Weiss begins her tour on March 5 and will be interviewed on NPR’s “Weekend All Things Considered.” Weiss will speak at the Brooklyn Historical Society on March 13, and will be interviewed on the Brian Lehrer Show on March 14. Later she will speak at the Roosevelt House on E. 65th St in Manhattan.
