Jay Craven

During the 2019 spring semester, four members of the Class of 2021 – Karina Barakdarian, Jane Nealey, Maria (Vale) Medina, and Ava Witonsky – participated in the production of a new feature film based on the Jack London novel, Martin Eden. They were joined in the project by students from other colleges and professional actors and crew members from around the country.

Cinema Sarah Lawrence Director Jay Craven will visit the F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) series to present a work-in-progress rough-cut of sections of the resulting film, also titled Martin Eden. He hopes that those who see the film-in-progress will have useful suggestions for him.

The screening will take place on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m., Bradford Auditorium, KJ. This and all F.I.L.M. events are free and open to the public.
