Amy Gaffney

Amy Gaffney, director of the Oral Communication Center, co-authored a chapter in a volume focused on integrating communication across the curriculum.

Her contribution, co-authored with Kelly Norris Martin of Rochester Institute of Technology, was titled "Public Relations and Politics: Navigating Communication Across the Curriculum as Communication Scholars." The book, Teaching Communication across Disciplines for Professional Development, Civic Engagement, and Beyond, will be published in June 2023 by Rowman & Littlefield.

Four students were awarded prizes in three categories in the annual Public Speaking Competition held on March 4. Presentations were either persuasive or informative in nature, and in one category, students addressed an assigned topic.
