“Ability, Assistance, and Collaboration in Academic Library Assessment,” an article by Assistant Dean of Faculty for Institutional Research Gordon Hewitt and Reference Librarian Rebecca Troendle Hewitt, was published in the November issue of the electronic journal Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP).
The article outlines the Hewitts’ study of the assessment skills required of library professionals as they are increasingly called upon “to show that they are an integral part of the academic mission, are using their resources efficiently, and continue to contribute to student learning.”
LPP is a peer-reviewed journal that “publishes articles exploring the connection between library practice and the philosophy and theory behind it.”
