Hamilton College rowed in a scrimmage against Colgate University in the Head of the Lake Moraine, which was held in Hamilton, N.Y., on Oct. 11.
Hamilton's frosh 8 and second varsity 8 tied for first place with a time of 12:24 on the 3,500-meter course. Colgate's frosh 8 was third in 12:55. Colgate defeated Hamilton in the novice 4, but no time was recorded.
Scott Bixby '11 was coxswain for the frosh 8. Alex Snow '12 was stroke and Matt Seaman '12 was in the bow seat. The rest of the rowers (seats seven through two in descending order) included: Talpey Matt '12, Joe Ely '12, Adam Minchew '12, Rafael De La Rosa '12, John Verni '12 and Gibson Hoyt '12.
Ricky Bottini '10 was coxswain, Alex de Moor '10 was stroke and Tim Belden '10 was in the bow seat for the second varsity 8. The rest of the rowers (seats seven through two in descending order) included: RD Eisenhart '11, Jonathan Wilson '09, Sam Hincks '11, Ayush Soni '11, Zac Haluza '11 and head coach Eric Summers.
Dan Rudel '10 was coxswain for the novice 4. Matt Poterba '12 was stroke and Jeff Rabinowitz '12 was in the bow seat. Ian Thresher '12 was 3-seat and Mike Tracey '11 was 2-seat.
Hamilton competes in the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston on Oct. 18 and 19.
