The Hamilton College men's hockey team was ranked in both the D3hockey.com and the USCHO.com Division III Top 15 polls for the first time this season on Dec. 12.

The Continentals (6-0-2 overall, 3-0-2 NESCAC) moved up from No. 11 to No. 9 in the D3hockey.com poll and they are 11th in the USCHO.com poll one week after Hamilton led the teams in the "Others Receiving Votes" category. The Continentals are the only NCAA men's hockey team in any division without a loss this season.
Hamilton goaltender Evan Buitenhuis '18 leads the NESCAC with a 1.26 goals against average and .961 save percentage. Jon Carkeek '17 (2 goals, 4 assists) and Bennett Morrison '20 (5 assists) are two of the top point-producing defensemen in the conference with six and five respectively.
The Continentals' offense is led by Jason Brochu '19, Rory Gagnon '19 and Neil Conway '18 with eight points each. Brochu and Brandon Willett '18 have scored four goals apiece, and Gagnon and Conway are tied with Morrison for the team lead with five assists.
Robbie Murden '17 (2 goals, 4 assists) needs five more points to reach the 100-point milestone for his Hamilton career.
The Continentals are taking a break for finals and the holidays, and will return to the ice on Sunday, Jan. 1 for a non-conference game against Skidmore College at 4 p.m.
