Assistant Professor of Dance and Movement Studies Casey Avaunt recently performed in the inaugural three-day Naples International Dance Festival at the Norris Center in Naples, Fla.
Avaunt was part of the opening night festivities that featured “a stellar array of performers, both local and international, in ballet and contemporary dance” according to United Arts Collier (UAC), a local arts agency of Collier County, Fla., which created and organized the event. According to the UAC website, the goal of the festival was “to unite and uplift people through the transformative power of dance.”
