Jack B. Riffle Celebration for Senior Varsity Athletes

Lacrosse defender Meghan Lane ’24 and baseball outfielder Jackson Sattinger ’24 were honored at the Jack B. Riffle Celebration on May 14. The Riffle Awards are presented annually to the top male and female athlete in Hamilton College’s senior class.

Lacrosse and hockey player Abby Smith ’24 and football linebacker Cole Rivell ’24 received the Jean-Marius Gelas Memorial Awards presented to a male and female senior student-athlete who have displayed outstanding development in sportsmanship, leadership, character, and athletic ability during their college years.

Volleyball outside hitter Kate Carman ’24 and track and field athlete Peter Cuomo ’24 received the Milton H. Jannone Awards, which honor a male and female senior athlete who exhibit outstanding athleticism, leadership, and academic accomplishment.

NESCAC League Honors

Lacrosse defender Meghan Lane ’24 was selected as the 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women’s Defensive Player of the Year. Lane is the first Hamilton player to receive the honor in the nine-year history of the award. She was also voted to the all-NESCAC first team for the second year in a row. 

Lacrosse goalie Jack Fried ’25 was named the 2024 NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year. This marks the first season the NESCAC is honoring a defensive player of the year in men’s lacrosse. Fried was also voted the all-conference first-team goalie.
