This week the weather was mild and gave us a chance to do more walking around the city. Rob and I attended a New York Rangers game and had a blast. Madison Square Garden was packed despite the dismal efforts of the Rangers this season. We enjoyed great seats and had a chance to meet up with a few friends from the city.

On Thursday, I walked through Union Square after work to relax in the mid 60s sun. I found a fenced-in area called "the dog pound" where residents came to allow their dogs some space to run around. The area was filled with sand and there were about 20 dogs inside the fence, engaged in various activities.

On Saturday, I joined other students at Middlebury as we rooted the men's hockey team on in the NESCAC semi-finals. The Conts suffered a tough 3-1 loss, but the loss did not overshadow an excellent season. I must give a shout-out to goaltender Robbie MacNeil for a truly remarkable performance between the pipes. Also, I want to congratulate Jeff Corey on becoming the first player in Hamilton history to reach the 100 games played mark. The team had a great year and I am looking forward to watching next year's squad. They should be better than the new look Rangers.
