For class last Wednesday, we read Daniel Okrent's Great Fortune, a fascinating account of John D. Rockefeller Jr. and the building of Rockefeller Center.  I was reminded of the book later in the week when I watched the film Ocean's Eleven.  Rockefeller's style of collaboration is similar to George Clooney's style in Ocean's Eleven.  Clooney recruits ten others to help complete his vision to rob a casino in Las Vegas; each individual contributes to the mission.  Rockefeller also recruited others to complete his vision. Could the project have been completed without one of these individuals?  I think not.

On Saturday night, I had my own adventure. I decided to go out with friends from NYU and take the subway to our final destination.  Once we got on the 4 train, an old man asked us if the train was riding uptown and respectfully we answered "yes."  That was the mistake for the night.  The man then continued to talk to us the whole time on the train about how he loves Jesus but can't stop drinking "infectiously."  As he followed us out of the train and asked to hang out with us for the night, we were quick to use our athletic abilities to flee from our unwanted guest.
