Professor of Theatre Craig Latrell directs Hamilton College students in Measure for Measure, Shakespeare’s play about political discord, morality, authenticity, and a woman’s right to control her body,  a topic that continues to resonate today.

The cast includes seniors Charlie Luft, Grace Friedman, Simon Stringer; juniors Emma Earls, Emmett Dupree Irmak Sagir, Jack O’Haire, and Summer Meade; sophomores Alyssa Samuels, Asha Cook, Del Gonzales, Hunter Wisneski, Katie O’Shea, and Max Ganem; and first -year students Aubrey Campbell, Ben White, Mitch Johnson, and Sarah Walcott.

Performances will take place Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 3 to 5, at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Saturday, Nov. 9 to 12, at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. All shows are in the Romano Theatre in the Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts.

Theatre Department Presents 10 Out of 12

After COVID-19 restricted many campus events, Professor of Theatre Craig Latrell wanted to select a show for Hamilton’s fall production that encapsulated the joy of live performance. In late May, he found a play that fit this criteria: 10 out of 12 by playwright Anne Washburn.
