A book of interviews by Professor of Cinema and Media Studies Scott MacDonald was the festival publication for Punto de Vista, the international documentary film festival of Navarra. The event took place recently in Pamplona, Spain.
The work of American filmmaker Su Friedrich was explored this year as part of the festival’s retrospective program. Friedrich has visited Hamilton several times to show her films in MacDonald’s F.I.L.M. series. Titled Su Friedrich: Conversaciones con Scott MacDonald, the book features MacDonald’s interviews with the filmmaker and includes one that appeared in his 1992 book A Critical Cinema 2, and one in which her recent work was discussed.
The book was co-published by Punto de Vista and Caniche.
