Wake up to NPR 88.3 WBGL 6:14 a.m. - one minute to relax and motivate.
Brush my teeth with my Crest, fuchsia, battery operated toothbrush, floss, gargle for 30 seconds.
Jump into shower, my last opportunity to not think.
Put on lotion, makeup, clothes. What to wear?
Dry my hair, hmmm, up or down? Down for today.
Drink a glass of orange juice, eat a strawberry Poptart while checking my e-mail.
Put on my coat, "do I have everything?"  Take a deep breath and leave.
Ring, elevator's here, check myself in the mirror.
Say "good morning" to the Yugoslavian doorman, spin through the revolving doors.
Walk around the corner to catch the 1 or 9. I guess if I were JLo, I'd have to name my CD,'On the 1 / 9.'
Read the signs in the train to make the time go by. Oh no, that guy caught my eye when I was looking at him, and now he thinks I was staring. Uncomfortable, but it's already forgotten.
34th street. The sun is out.
Enter  2 Penn plaza through  more revolving doors.
Hold up my I.D., nod at the doorman.
18th floor.
Greet the security guard outside the GOP office, "Hello, how are you?"
Get buzzed in by the secretaries, small talk.
Sit down in my cubicle at 8:15.
The week begins.
