Since December 2023, Professor of East Asian Languages and Literatures Zhuoyi Wang has delivered 16 invited talks in the U.S., the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and mainland China.

Institutions that invited Wang to present academic talks included University of San Francisco, De La Salle University, National University of Singapore, Xiamen University Malaysia, four Taiwanese universities (National Tsinghua University, National Chengchi University, Shih Chien University, National Taiwan University), three universities in mainland China (Sun Yat-Sen University, Henan University, Xiamen University), Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University, and Guangdong Country Garden School.

The topics of Wang’s talks cover a range of subjects, including recent A24 film and TV productions, Asian and Asian American representations in Hollywood, Disney’s Mulan adaptations, films by Jia Zhangke, and films by Ang Lee. Additionally, Wang was an invited speaker in a post-screening public discussion at a Shanghai movie theater for the newly released Chinese film A Woman.
