Among its wellness offerings, Hamilton’s Counseling Center teaches students how to cook smart through its Community Pantry.

Registered Dietitian Lela Niemetz, who is also a local farmer, offers tips about nutrition by sharing healthy recipes that include locally sourced foods from a range of Mohawk Valley-area farms.

Niemetz provides recipes and conducts Zoom sessions each week to show students how to prepare specific meals with tasty and nutritious ingredients.  Students say they love the sense of community that springs from the cooking sessions.
