Hamilton College competed in the six-team, multi-divisional Colgate University Class of '32 Invitational on Jan. 29.
Muriel Schwinn '13 finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 4.90 meters. Just one Division III athlete came in ahead of Schwinn. She was fifth in the finals of the 60-meter dash and again, one Division III runner finished ahead of her. She qualified for the finals with a time of 8.37 seconds in the prelims.
Molly Brooks '14 took fourth place in the shot put with a distance of 10.44 meters. She had the second-best performance by a Division III athlete.
Hamilton ended up in sixth place with 36 points, and Colgate won the team title with 153. The Continentals host the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 5.
