The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment is responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting historical and current data about Hamilton College and peer institutions to support college planning, assessment, and overall effectiveness. 

Current Projects & Activities

Here are some of the projects that the Office is working on this semester:

  • 2020-21 Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation Review 
  • We will be working with Library and Information Technology Services to administer the MISO survey to selected on-campus students early in the semester.  The MISO (Measuring Information Service Outcomes) Survey is "designed to measure how faculty, students, and staff view library and computing services in higher education."
  • Then, first-year students will be invited to participate in the Your First College Year (YFCY) survey.  Students should look for invitations in their e-mail.
  • Seniors will be invited to participate in the College Senior Survey towards the end of the semester.  Seniors should also look check their e-mail for invitations.
