The DMC & HOC Exploring "New Horizons” (Literally!)

Ever felt like the great outdoors wasn't your scene? Well, this year, the DMC is flipping the script on that narrative by launching a collaboration with the Hamilton Outing Club (HOC). This partnership is designed to get students who have traditionally felt uncomfortable with outdoor activities onto the trails, under the stars, and, quite literally, into new horizons.

At the helm of this adventure is none other than Sarah Skoy, our Associate Director of Outdoor Leadership (and wilderness guru). Sarah is planning hikes that are intentionally tailored for students who might be new to outdoor activities or simply want a more inclusive experience. In fact, we’ve already hit the ground running with a pilot hike to Bald Mountain—talk about a view worth climbing for!

So, whether you’re a nature newbie or an experienced hiker, this initiative is all about making sure everyone can enjoy the outdoors.
