Hey Hamilton community, we are the DMC fellows and we are so excited to see you all on campus this semester! We hold office hours on weekdays from 5PM - 10PM and on weekends from 10AM to 10PM. We would love to answer any and all questions you may have about the Blue House (aka, home for the DMC Community), give tours, help set up for club meetings, and support students and their organizations in any way we can!

Hamilton’s ASU is dedicated to creating a vibrant, inclusive space where students can celebrate cultures, build connections, and foster community. The E-board envisions ASU as both a safe haven and lively hub of activity, where students can feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Whether you’re looking to connect with your heritage, learn, support your peers, or simply try something new, ASU offers a place to belong.

On a beautiful September 9th evening, BLSU Welcome Back Bash began on the  front lawn of the DMC. For the second meeting of Disorientation week, BLSU welcomed new first year students to campus and reconnected with the Hamilton community. Music rang through the air as students lined up for food, chatting with each other and meeting new freshmen. 

Students flooded through the doors of the Annex on Monday, September 8th to the sight of a long table filled with boba tea and two long rows of chairs facing each other. Characterized by “speed dating-style” socializing, sweet treats, and good music, the event is created with the intention of sparking initial connections with students to build upon throughout the year!

Here on campus, the Black and Latine Student Union (BLSU) is more than just a student organization–it’s a community built on celebration, connection, and support. Through its events and welcoming spirit, BLSU continues to create a joyful, affirming space that uplifts students while bringing the wider campus community together.

At Hamilton, the Center for Intersectional Feminism (CIF) articulates its mission as “forceful advocacy for women,” as they tackle topics of domestic violence, sexual health, and accessible safety. CIF works to make itself a place of support to all, mixing fun unifying events with agendas that directly help and support the community.

For continentals, celebration isn’t just about big events–it’s about finding community, sharing stories, and creating a space of mutual belonging. That’s exactly what La Vanguardia (LV), the latine culture club on campus, brings to students each semester. Dedicated to spreading Latine culture and building friendships, the group is open to anyone who wants to connect and celebrate together.

This year, Hamilton’s Center for Intersectional Feminism (CIF), Green Apple, and Sexual Misconduct and Assault Reform Team (SMART) hosted its annual Denim Day celebration with a day of crafting, upcycling, and repurposing. “Crafting has historically been used as a tool of community building between women for centuries,” says Editor and Chief of Green Apple Eliana Mannes ‘26, “nurturing and creating together is a way to resist the patriarchy, which is the root of a lot of this violence, and is a way to support women and survivors of violence.” 

La Vanguardia celebrated their 40th anniversary on Thursday with a fantastic celebration of food, live music, and salsa! For decades, this incredible club has fed us, taught us to dance, and given us a space to connect. Thank you La Vanguardia!

The DMC would like to say a special thank you to our senior fellows Bella Ocava, Rachel Shin, Omar Barghout, and Nickie Conlogue! Thank you for the late night shifts, scheduling, dozens of emails, and long days of event planning. Your passion and dedication has shaped the DMC into the safe and brave space it is today.
