Spotlight Series: Center for Intersectional Feminism

At Hamilton, the Center for Intersectional Feminism (CIF) articulates its mission as “forceful advocacy for women,” as they tackle topics of domestic violence, sexual health, and accessible safety. Hailey Lanary ‘28, CIF Outreach Chair, shared that this fall the organization is making “more of an effort to connect with the broader community off the Hill - reaching out to women oriented organizations in Utica.” CIF works to make itself a place of support to all, mixing fun unifying events with agendas that directly help and support the community.

Lanary outlined a few upcoming events to keep on your radar. You can look forward to Sex Positivity Week (October 6th - October 11th), Women's History Month (March), and Denim Day (April 29). She explained that these events, among other more informal socials, promote “learning and solidarity.” CIF looks forward to connecting with the Hamilton community – on and off campus – this semester!
