Kyle Martin
Assistant Professor of Instruction Biology, Director of Microscopy
Throughout his academic career, Kyle Martin has been fascinated with how the organs and tissues in our body adapt. After earning a bachelor’s in biomedical engineering at Drexel University, he went on to develop computational models of skeletal muscle adaptation during his doctorate work at the University of Virginia. After that, Martin went to the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and worked on many fascinating and challenging projects: adipose tissue and sensory neurons cross-talk, kynurenine metabolism and signaling, wearable biometric device testing, and elite athlete exercise adaptation.
