Kirkland Scholars
The Kirkland scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate a commitment to the needs and interests of women. It perpetuates the legacy of Kirkland College, which was the women’s college, coordinate with Hamilton, from 1968 to 1978.
KEAC also nominates students for the Kirkland Alumnae Scholarship. The Kirkland Alumnae Scholarship was originally established by the Kirkland Class of 1974, and subsequently has become a fund receiving contributions from all Kirkland Alumnae. It is “awarded annually to an upperclass woman who exemplifies the ideals of Kirkland College women, specifically, independence, initiative, creativity, ingenuity.”
