Adirondack Adventure is one of three, 4-day orientation trip programs.

All incoming first-year students arrive at Hamilton to participate in one of the orientation trip programs. Adirondack Adventure participants will go on one of 28 trips into the Adirondacks, each guided by a team of two (or three, depending on the trip) highly trained students, staff, or faculty leaders.

Currently directed by Andrew Jillings, the program has been in place for more than 40 years and contributes greatly to students’ community feeling at Hamilton. Students who participate in Adirondack Adventure often meet their best college friends on the trip. Even after the program ends, many trip groups get together regularly to share their memories of the trip and their ongoing Hamilton experience.
