Maximiliano Hernandez-Zapata ’19 is only 22 but he’s old-school when it comes to photography. His passion for analog photography has paid off for him as the recipient of the College’s Bristol Fellowship for his project “Preservation or Revival: Exploring Contemporary Analog Photography.”

Willa Mihalyi-Koch ’19 and Hannah Zucker '15 have been awarded National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships. This is a highly competitive, prestigious, nationally recognized fellowship that is awarded to just under 2000 students in the natural and social sciences and engineering.

Hamilton’s Model UN team has attended three conferences this semester and has won awards at each. The team went to North American Model United Nations Conference hosted by University of Toronto (NAMUN), Princeton Diplomatic Invitational hosted by Princeton University (PDI), and &MUN hosted by The College of William and Mary.

On April 6, 120 student-athletes volunteered at 18 different community partners in Clinton, Rome, Utica, and Sauquoit as part of the 2nd Annual SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee)//COOP (Community Outreach and Opportunity Project) Day of Service. The initiative was part of the larger NCAA Division III Week of Service in which groups volunteered at local community partners, including the Thea Bowman House in Utica, and Special Olympics in Rome.

After a semester in Madrid last year through Hamilton’s Academic Year in Spain, Sabrina Boutselis ’19 fell in love with Spanish culture and became fascinated with the growing emphasis on Spanish-English bilingual education. As a result, she applied for and was awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Galicia, Spain.

Adrian Summers ’19 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Kenya. A Theatre and Africana Studies major, he answered some questions about his time at Hamilton and what he hopes to accomplish through his Fulbright ETA.

The Hamilton Mathletics team has won the Snow Bowl competition this year, edging out teams from Colgate University, Skidmore College, and St. Lawrence University. Skidmore won the cup last year, so the team is very proud to bring it back to Hamilton.
