Marquis Palmer, a 2018 Hamilton graduate from Utica, N.Y., has been selected to receive a Marshall Scholarship, one of the most competitive and prestigious postgraduate scholarships awarded to U.S. citizens.

The College has received funding to supplement the series by stimulating discussion of pressing social issues across a wide range of subject areas.

Hamilton will present an honorary degree to its most celebrated hockey player, Guy Hebert '89, during the weekend marking the 100th anniversary of hockey on College Hill and in Clinton.

Suzanne Keen, a member of the faculty and current dean of the college at Washington and Lee University, has been named vice president of academic affairs and dean of faculty at Hamilton College.

Karl Rove and David Axelrod, two highly regarded political strategists with different points of view, will discuss current issues on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. in the College’s Margaret Scott Bundy Field House. USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page will moderate the program.

Lori Rava Dennison, a 1987 Hamilton College graduate with three decades of experience in fundraising, volunteer management and donor relations at her alma mater, has been named Hamilton’s vice president for advancement following a national search.

Anne Dinneen, director of investments since 2004 at the James Irvine Foundation in San Francisco, has been named chief investment officer at Hamilton College. Dinneen, who worked previously at Barclays Global Investors, Thomas Weisel Partners and Banc of America Securities, will manage the college’s $922 million endowment and planned giving assets. She will assume her position at Hamilton on May 15.

The College Board of Trustees has unanimously elected Stephen I. Sadove ’73 to be its next chair, effective July 1. He will replace A.G. Lafley ’69, who has served as chair of the Board of Trustees since 2008. George F. (Jeff) Little II ’71 will continue as the board’s vice chair.
