Hamilton College’s Levitt Center is ground zero for research opportunities on campus. Aimed at encouraging students to combine their academic ambition with practical, hands-on, research, the Levitt Research Fellows Program is a great opportunity for students to dive deeper into their interests. Students are awarded a research grant and collaborate closely with a faculty advisor for up to 10 weeks, then prepare a presentation and submit a paper in the fall.

“More Than You Can Know,” a film by Naomi Guttman, the Jane Watson Irwin Professor in the Humanities, was recently screened at the Manhattan Film Festival Expo and the Maine International Film Festival (Waterville). Guttman also participated in a filmmaker's panel at the Hamilton New York International Film Festival, where the film was screened.

Professor of Music Heather Buchman was named the inaugural recipient of the John L. Baldwin, Jr. Professorship in Music, and 10 other faculty members were appointed to endowed chairs effective July 1.

February’s news topics included the economy, Black history, and a new college president, among others.

In its second meeting of the 2023-24 academic year, the Hamilton Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa elected 17 members of the Class of 2024.
