The Theatre Department's presentation of Our Town, directed by Professor Craig Latrell, continues this week. Performances will run Wednesday, April 22 – Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.  in the new state-of-the-art Romano Theatre within the Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts.

The Hamilton College Theatre Department presents Our Town by Thornton Wilder as its Spring Theater Production. Performances will run Thursday, April 16 – Saturday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday, April 22 – Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. A matinee will be performed on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. All performances take place in the new state-of-the-art Romano Theatre within the Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts.

Professor of Music Sam Pellman was honored as the 2015 Distinguished Service Award recipient by Hamilton’s Alumni Association. John Hadity ’83, president of the Alumni Association, presented the award on April 10 during the Alumni Council’s Recognition dinner.

Hamilton continues its celebration of April Jazz Appreciation Month with a performance by jazz vocalist Janis Siegel with pianist Rick Montalbano on Sunday, April 12, at 7 p.m., in the Fillius Events Barn.  The event, sponsored by the Fillius Jazz Archive and hosted by Monk Rowe, is free and open to the public.

Hamilton College Performing Arts concludes the 2014-15 Performing Arts Series with Laurie Anderson presenting The Language of the Future on Saturday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.

The Hamilton College Choir, conducted by G. Roberts Kolb, will present the home concert of its recently completed spring break tour on Wed., April 8, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

Hamilton students might be nearing the end of their spring break but they’ll have plenty to look forward to as the spring semester resumes on March 30.  The college calendar is loaded with upcoming lectures, performance and events from now until the end of the semester. The Hamilton College Choir is on the road for its annual spring break tour, this year performing in five cities in the South as well as Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. The 65-member choir is directed by G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton since 1981.

The Hamilton College Orchestra, conducted by Heather Buchman, presents the annual Brainstorm! concert on Sunday, March 8,  at 3 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts. This concert is free and open to the public.

The Department of Dance and Movement Studies will present its annual Spring Dance Concert on Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and Performing Arts.
