  • The Hamilton College Performing Arts Series will present a concert by the Symphony Syracuse (now operating under the name Musical Associates of Central New York) on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center. Conducted by Associate Professor of Music Heather Buchman, the program includes Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 with soloist Jeremy Mastrangelo, and Hindemith’s Mathis der Maler.

  • The Hamilton College Theatre Department announces its Fall production, The Dispute by Marivaux, translated by Gideon Lester. Performances will run Thursday, Nov. 1 – Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 7 – Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m., and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10. All performances take place in Minor Theater.

  • The Mohawk Valley Dance Partnership presents a performance of Temptation of the Muses by the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company and the Ahn Trio on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 8 p.m., in Wellin Hall. This performance is a collaboration between choreographer Nai-Ni Chen and the Ahn Trio, who provide live music onstage.

  • Hamilton College Performing Arts opens the fall semester with Lionheart in Wayfaring Stranger: Early Classics and New Works for Men’s Voices on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m., in Wellin Hall.

  • The Hamilton College Department of Music presents the Hamilton College Choir and the College and Community Masterworks Chorale and Orchestra in Brahms’ Requiem on Tuesday, May 1, at 8 p.m., in Wellin Hall.

  • The spring theater production of Orestes 2.0 by Charles Mee debuted on April 12 in Minor Theater.  Directed by Professor of Theater Craig Latrell and featuring a cast of 14 Hamilton students, the production is a postmodern version of Euripides’ classical tragedy.

Performances will run Thursday, April 12, through Saturday, April 14, at 8 p.m., and Wednesday, April 18, through Saturday, April 21, at 8 p.m. There is an additional performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. All performances will take place in Minor Theater.

  • The Department of Music will present the home concert of the Hamilton College Choir’s March tour on Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall.  The 64-member choir is directed by G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton since 1981.  The concert is free and open to the public.
