  • The Hamilton College and Community Masterworks Chorale with members of Symphoria will perform Bach’s Mass in B Minor on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

  • When the critically acclaimed modern dance company H.T. Chen & Dancers performed at Hamilton on Nov. 5 some members of the troupe probably looked familiar. Five Hamilton student dancers joined the company in their original performance, which combines traditional Chinese music and Deep South blues to tell the story of immigration and civil rights through a fusion of two cultural styles of dance.

The Grammy-nominated baritone brings a new dimension to the traditional vocal recital by drawing on gospel and jazz influences. Sykes is joined by guitarist Christopher Parkening and pianist Mark Rice for a unique performance that ranges from classical, Broadway and jazz standards to spirituals.
