  • Last summer, longtime athletic trainer Steph Kowell stepped into the position of director of the Blood Fitness Center and campus fitness.   • The return of the HamTrek triathlon on April 28 after a pandemic pause saw Drew Frey ’23 the overall winner of the 2023 event with a time of 56:30, and Rebecca Dalphin ’25 as the women’s winner with a time of 1:11:47.

  • Last weekend hundreds of Hamiltonians from across the country joined in a tradition gone virtual — HamTrek.

  • Team Jillings, Uribe, Fowy was the overall winner of the 2019 HamTrek triathlon with a time of 58:06.48 on May 3. Swim team member Jake Fowy ’19 swam 21 lengths in the pool, Cross Country team member Anaidys 'Andy' Uribe ‘19 handled the running portion, and Director of Outdoor Leadership Andrew Jillings biked for the winners.

  • Team Varga was the overall winner of the 2018 HamTrek triathlon with a time of 59:02.39, Men’s swimming and diving team member Chris Klein ’18 was the male individual winner with a time of 1:01:02.82, and Assistant Professor of Geosciences Cat Beck was the top female individual at 01:09:10.29.

  • In a demonstration of intercollegiate collaboration, President David Wippman, Colgate President Brian Casey and Hamilton alumnus and Colgate employee Brian Grady ’00 joined together to win HamTrek’s men’s relay competition with a time of 1:05:45. Casey swam the sprint triathlon’s 21 lengths in the pool, Wippman biked nine miles (two times around the Griffin Road loop) and Grady ran five kilometers around the cross-country course at the Friday, April 28, event.

  • John Hartpence, assistant cross country & track and field coach, was the overall winner of the 2016 HamTrek triathlon with a time of 55:20.15. Lauren King ’16 was the top female individual at 01:03:32.95, and Team Hooper won the co-ed relay clocking in at 01:02:42.12.

  • Ben Delia '05 was the overall winner of the 2015 HamTrek triathlon with a time of  52:42:19, Lauren King ’16 was the top female individual  at 01:01:31 and Team McWhirter won the co-ed relay clocking in at 1:04:59.

  • Team McBratney was the overall winner of the 2014 HamTrek triathlon with a time of  53:40.04.  Professor of English Onno Oerlemans was the top individual finisher clocking in at 57:32.88, and Lauren King ’16 was the top female individual  at 01:05:44.82.
