Professor of Africana Studies Heather Merrill is co-editor of Spaces of Danger: Culture and Power in the Everyday with Lisa M. Hoffman (University of Washington-Tacoma). The book, a collection of essays published by University of Georgia Press, is part of its Geographies of Justice and Social Transformation series.

Dozens of Psi Upsilon alumni returned to campus on Friday, Nov. 13, to spend that night and all day Saturday working with 30-40 current Hamilton undergraduate members to help prepare them in their pursuit of internships and full time jobs. Indicative of the five-year-old program’s success, 40 out of 44 undergraduate members had jobs or internships before commencement last year. Eight of this year's 11 seniors have already secured jobs after graduation.

Seven students from Hamilton’s Microfinance organization attended Lend for America’s 7th Annual Summit at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, on Nov. 7 and 8. Hamilton’s Curling Club is back in action with two tournaments under their belts and a number of promising underclassmen on the roster. The team has already participated in tournaments hosted by Boston University at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, Mass. (Nov. 7-8), and by the Rochester Institute of Technology (Nov. 13-15).

Several Hamilton College athletes took part in an athletic panel discussion on Nov. 19 at Clinton High School. Hamilton provided lunch and five athletes talked to interested CCS students about playing varsity sports in college, how to balance academics, and a bit about how recruiting works.
