A. Todd Franklin, Professor of Philosophy & Africana Studies, was a panelist as part of the American Philosophical Association’s Live Event Webinar Series.  The panel, "Institutional Support for Public Philosophy: Hiring, Tenure, and Promotion," took place on Nov. 15 and focused on issues surrounding the professional status of the public-facing endeavors of philosophers.

Franklin currently serves on the Public Philosophy Network’s Committee on Changing the Profession. He shared insights concerning issues of professional recognition drawn from his experiences involving publicly engaged philosophy, and his experiences serving as a department chair and chair of the College’s Tenure and Promotion committee.
