Professor of Religious Studies S.B. Rodríguez-Plate recently made presentations in Singapore and Scotland. In Singapore, they were invited to run a half-day workshop on publishing at Singapore Management University's College of Integrative Sciences.
Organizers at SMU said: "The Forum brings eminent editors from leading journals to SMU to engage with faculty work-in-progress. Faculty receive detailed feedback and guidance on publishing strategies, research ambitions, and career development, alongside mentorship and academic exchange with leading scholars."
While in Singapore, Rodriguez-Plate also presented on their book-in-progress, "The Spiritual Life of Dolls: From Adam to Barbie, Sex Dolls to AI." They also presented the book at the International Society of Religion, Literature, and Culture," held at Stirling University, Scotland.
