Pavitra Sundar, professor of literature and director of cinema and media studies, published an article titled “Text, Technology, Time Bent: Cripping Access with Jay Afrisando and Simoné Goldschmidt-Lechner” in a special issue of Cinéma and Cie focused on disability, media, and accessibility.
In the article, Sundar examines Time Bent, Folded, Exhausted, a collaborative work of literature and sound art by two neurodivergent artists. Through a conversation between the artists, the work explores how neurodivergent people experience time differently. It invites audiences to see the world from that perspective and challenges common assumptions about productivity, schedules, and social expectations.
