Here we are and the fall semester is upon us.

Following an extensive national search with a pool of exceptionally experienced and talented candidates, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Marisa Sanchez Benincasa as vice president for communications and marketing.

Thank you for the warm welcome last week, my first week on campus. Your disposition matched the weather (warm) -- which I hope will not be the case in January.

I know intuitively – and from the physics course I took in high school – that time does not stand still, but it has certainly felt that way since February when I was named Hamilton’s next president.
