Taking the nation's pulse
An annual survey sponsored by the Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center provides timely insights into issues of national importance, and this year’s poll, released today (presenters from left: Benjamin Peña ’12, Redwan Saleh ’13, Sarah Krieger ’11 and Kevin Tutasig ’13), is no exception. Conducted by Philip Klinkner, the James S. Sherman Professor of Government, and the students from his Topics in Survey Research course, “Immigration and Racial Change: Are All Generations on the Same Page?” reveals a major generation gap on this and other topics, with younger Americans showing “more tolerance for America’s changing racial and ethnic character” than older generations.
