Members of Hamilton’s men’s lacrosse team recently volunteered in Rise Against Hunger’s meal packaging program at Clinton High School. Clinton United Methodist Church joined with the national Rise Against Hunger organization to package over 40,000 meals.

HAVOC’s 20th Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service saw the largest turnout yet with just under 250 people coming out early on Jan. 20 to volunteer in Clinton, New Hartford, Utica, and Rome. HAVOC sent students to 28 sites ranging from organizational work for a city mural to spending time with the elderly to playing with kittens.

Some Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) members made Halloween a little happier for some children and senior citizens at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare on Oct. 29. The student-athletes donned costumes and visited the pediatric ward and Senior Care Center of St. Luke's Hospital.

Eight students launched Hamilton’s inaugural Alternative Fall Break trip with a four-day visit to Double H Ranch in the Adirondacks, Oct. 11-15. The camp was founded by Charles R. Wood, and actor Paul Newman as a part of his SeriousFun network of camps for children with life threatening illnesses.
