  • Twenty-eight students from art classes in photography, painting and drawing visited MASS MoCA (The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art) and the Williams College Art Museum on April 17. They were accompanied by Assistant Professor of Art Robert Knight and Visiting Assistant Professor of Art Jane Fine.

  • In God's House: The Religious Landscape of Utica, NY, a documentary film by Assistant Professor of Art Robert Knight, was screened on Feb. 22 at Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa. While visiting the college, Knight also led classroom discussions about his larger project examining the sustainability of religious communities in Central New York.

  • Visiting Professor of Art Jane Fine and Assistant Professor of Art Rob Knight took 20 senior art concentrators and advanced painting students to Golden Artist Colors and the Golden Foundation for the Arts in New Berlin, NY, on Sept. 16.  They toured the factory floor with Barbara and Emma Golden, and learned about the history of the company and how the paints are made.  The group also visited their studio residency program and met the four current artists working there.

  • “Class of 2015,” a longitudinal portrait project comprising photographs and video interviews that examine the development of personal identity among a group of students from Hamilton's class of 2015, will open at the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art on June 4. Assistant Professor of Art Robert Knight began this series in 2011, when he started teaching at Hamilton. A reception will be held on Thursday, June 4, from 4 to 6 p.m.
