Philip Klinkner, the James S. Sherman Professor of Government, presented “Baskets of Deplorables? Understanding Support for Donald Trump” at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College on Sept. 28.

More than 125 Hamilton students took to the High Peaks of the Adirondacks on Sept. 24 and 25 for the Outing Club’s (HOC) annual 46 Peaks Weekend.

Eight paddlers from Hamilton College’s Marathon Canoe Racing team took part in the annual Long Lake Long Boat Regatta on Sept. 24. Hamilton reclaimed the cup this year, prevailing over reigning champions from Paul Smith’s College by a narrow 5-second margin.

The College/Environmental Studies 220 classes, taught by Onno Oerlemans and Robin Kinnel recently made their annual trek into the Adirondacks to see firsthand some of what they’ve been studying and to experience some of the beauty of the area.

Hamilton played host to a conversation of critical importance on the nature of higher education as it relates to concepts of growing multiculturalism, inclusivity and difference, titled “Considering Global Education in an Interconnected World.” Hamilton president David Wippman was among the speakers.
