A Day in the Life job shadowing program is a one-day experience during winter and/or spring break that gives sponsors the opportunity to make an impact on a student’s career by offering a window into their world of work.
Internship and Job Postings
Hamilton’s recruiting platform, Handshake, is accessible to students 24/7. Once you register, you can post a description of your organization, a position description, contact information, application requirements, and deadline information.
(Information Table, Information Session and Interviewing)
Numerous employers come to Hamilton each academic year to conduct information sessions and/or interview students on site. This is the best opportunity to meet with the most Hamilton students. On-campus recruiting generally begins mid-September. Phone or Skype interviews are also an option if you are unable to travel to campus.
Hamilton College’s Career Center is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and expects all employers recruiting our students to abide by NACE's Principles for Ethical Professional Practice.
- NACE’s Principles for Professional Conduct - Third Party Recruiters
- NACE’s Reasonable Offer Deadlines Guidelines
- NACE’s Position Statement on Rescinded and Deferred Employment
Please note that the Hamilton College Career Center will not work with employers who are engaged in trades or businesses that violate New York State or Federal Law, and such employers may not recruit on campus or post opportunities through the Career Center.
