2021 Orientation Schedule


Welcome to Hamilton! We look forward to welcoming new students and their families to campus this August, and to offering a robust orientation and welcome experience. Orientation for all new fall students is required, and runs from August 17-25, 2021.  January Admission students are encouraged to participate in orientation adventure trips, and those who do should plan to arrive on campus on August 17 and depart on August 23.

The 2021 New Student Orientation schedule is below. Sessions highlighted in blue are required for all new students studying on-campus this fall, including new transfer students. 

Please note that some details may be subject to change as state and local guidelines related to COVID-19 evolve. We will keep students and families informed of any changes via email. New students: please ensure you check your email regularly to stay on top of updates, arrival procedures, messages from faculty advisors, and other details.

Tuesday, August 17

8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Orientation Check-In and begin Residence Hall Move-In
Welcome to Hamilton! Start off by picking up your Orientation information and residence hall keys. Orientation Trip Leaders and Resident Advisors (RAs) will be available to greet students and family members and answer your questions. All new students will sign up for a 30-minute arrival window on August 17, and should plan to arrive on campus during that time period. Please note that arrival times take place between 8-11 a.m., but families may continue the move-in process through 3:30 p.m. as needed.

Hamilton 101
Being a member of the Hamilton community is an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and develop deep and meaningful relationships. With that privilege comes responsibility to our community. This session, hosted by the Dean of Students Office, will focus on your rights and responsibilities as a student, and will introduce members of the Dean’s staff who will be resources to you as you navigate your campus experience.
