  • Olivia Gozdz ’16 (Darien, Conn./Darien HS) and Adam Pfander ’16 (Beacon, N.Y./Concord Academy) received the 2016 Jack B. Riffle Awards at Hamilton College's senior varsity athlete awards dinner on May 19.

  • Fifty-one members of the Hamilton Continentals football team recently spent a day doing yard clean-up at homes in Clinton.  Community Clean-Up day is a service project that originated with Coach Dave Murray when he coached at Alfred University. 

  • Hamilton's Ultimate Frisbee team celebrated its 40th anniversary with a tournament on April 9.  Nearly 40 alumni/former players came back to compete, including 15 from the early to mid -80s and close to 25 from the 2000s. Hamilton’s team currently has 50 active players.

  • To celebrate NCAA Division III Week, Hamilton’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted a mini-golf event in the Field House on April 10. More than 100 students  along with faculty and staff and their families participated.

  • Leaping up to, catapulting over and exploding through records, the Feb. 29 #LeapForHamilton challenge was a monumentally successful fundraising effort with the support of alumni, students, parents, friends and employees. The challenge, to reach 1,812 gifts, was met at 5:23 p.m., but enthusiasm and generosity continued to mount. By day’s end, 2,868 gifts totaled $900,313, representing 158 percent of the original 1,812 donor goal. This marks a single-day giving record by a factor of more than four and exceeds the total number of gifts in any single month in Hamilton’s history.

  • In celebration of the 30th anniversary of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the Hamilton College Athletic Department hosted its first sports clinic for girls in grades K-8. Participants from all over Central New York were taught skills and actively engaged in various sports stations run by Hamilton female student-athletes.

  • The men’s soccer team team initiated a community service project over the past few months, collecting sweatshirts/sweaters and hoodies to be donated to the Rome Rescue Mission. The team collected more than 150 articles of clothing and will be dropping them off in Rome next week.

  • The Hamilton College men’s basketball team dropped a 72-61 non-conference game to visiting Union Monday at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The Continentals fell to 10-10 overall.

  • Hamilton College's Sam Graber '16 dropped in 19 points and the Continentals posted a 62-47 non-conference win against the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Monday night.
