The Oral Communication Center helps students and faculty reach Hamilton’s high standard for effective oral communication. The center provides students with one-on-one peer tutoring and group consultations. It also offers credit-bearing courses in communication skills, customized support for courses, workshops and seminars.

2017 Public Speaking Competition Winners

In this annual event, students compete for three different prizes: The McKinney Prize, The Clark Prize, and The Warren E. Wright Prize. Speakers’ presentations are either persuasive or informative in nature, and in one category students are asked to address an assigned topic.
