Fee Waivers

Common Application or Coalition Application Fee Waivers

If you feel that your financial circumstances might qualify you for an application fee waiver, please submit your request (in lieu of application fee payment) on the Common Application or Coalition Application. After submitting your application with the fee waiver request, please provide documentation confirming your eligibility for a fee waiver to admission@hamilton.edu.

Hamilton College Fee Waivers

First Generation / Veterans: Students who are first generation college students (neither parent graduated from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree) or are veterans or active duty members of the U.S. armed forces are automatically eligible for a fee waiver. Please select the corresponding statement in the Hamilton specific questions on your Common Application or Coalition Application.

Campus Visitors: If you have participated in a campus visit event through the Office of Admission (Campus Tour, Junior Preview Day, Fall for Hamilton, etc.) your application fee will be automatically waived. Please select the statement “I have been granted a Hamilton College fee waiver”  in the Hamilton-specific questions on your Common Application or Coalition Application.

If you do not meet any of the above fee waiver thresholds or criteria, but you believe your family’s circumstances warrant consideration, you may request a fee waiver by contacting the Hamilton College Office of Admission directly at admission@hamilton.edu or 800-843-2655.
